Safety Standards

Each Climbable complies with the USCPSC (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) and ASTM International (Advancing Standards Transforming Markets) standards.

Creative Climbables products have been designed for safety and quality. Any modifications made to the original product could damage the structural integrity of the unit leading to failure and possible injury. Creative Climbables assumes no liability for any modified products or consequences resulting from failure of a modified product. Failure to follow the guidleines below may result in injury:

 

                    1. Do not allow children to use the equipment in a manner other than intended.

                    2. Adult supervision required at all times.

                    3. Intended for children aged 2-12 years only.

                    4. No rough play, pushing or shoving. 

                    5. Do not use equipment when wet or slippery.

                    6. Surfaces may be hot and can burn skin. Check before use.

                    7. Climbables should be installed on playground substrate approved by the U.S. Consumer

                        Product Safety Commission (USCPSC) and the Advancing Standards Transforming Markets

                        (ASTM) International. 

Periodically Perform the Following:

                    1. Tighten all hardware.

                    2. Check all wood members for deterioration or color fading and apply paint, stain, or urethane if

                         necessary. Natural properties of wood, such as warping, twisting, checking, or peeling may

                         occur. 

                    3. Clean off debris. 

Materials

Each Creative Climbable has a frame made from triple-ply 3/4" marine grade plywood, which gives them a heavy-duty 2 1/4" thick strength, covered with 2 coats of spar urethane. The exterior is KDAT lumber with one coat of primer and 2 coats of premium outdoor paint and stains. They are anchored by four 3' 6"x6" posts at each "corner" with 50 pounds of concrete for each post.
